Meanwhile on the Treadmill...
The problem with going away for a weekend with my Dad, even though it is to spend quality time with him, is that we usually come home pretty late on sunday evening. Hence my whole timetable to get stuff done is thrown off because I cannot make my 6 am wakeup call.
Thankfully I was able to finish my workout and complete the physical tasks I had listed out in my Activity Tracker for today [see facebook album by the same name]. An observation I made was when I push myself to maintain pace and consistency over my treadmill run, I tend to be overly winded which affects my bicep curls. I need to do more research into how to regulate cardio and weight training. Overall I feel I do possess the ability to push myself further, but for this initial three week period, I am treating this whole process as research to see where I am physically and use it to guage where I need to place my long term goals.
I regret not being able to cover my Excel or Rules material, but a job opportunity saw me scrambling to fill out an application form and look over my resume. I'll have to double up my efforts for tomorrow. However, I'm glad that I have the skeleton of this blog up and running and so there is a sense of accomplishment there.
Speaking of accomplishments, I'm happy to report that the grade for my latest grad course is in and I passsed with an A! This certainly ups my motivation! All praises for that!
All in all not a bad day but certainly not one of the great ones.
300 or less...
I have been writing a lot lately. After a long period of not picking up the virtual pen I started to stretch my writing muscles and began playing with ideas on the page. However much like a person picking up a barbell after years of neglect, it was an awkward embrace. Surprisingly, every now and then, I would come up with something that held some promise. I then proceeded to post it up on a facebook note.
Yesterday a friend suggested I create a "Romil News" website to fill friends and family on what’s going on during my stay here in Red Deer. The idea intrigued me even though I dismissed it because I didn't feel I had the time to program a website or maintain it. Later in the evening I was glancing over Joy Tilberg's latest Makeup Junkie blogazine entry and the acorn finally hit me on the back of my head... ouch… hey… DOH!
So here it is... A collection of my musings, reflections, ideas, and yes updates on all that transpires in this so-called life over the next chapter or two. I hope they all inform, stimulate, challenge, uplift, inspire, and yes, update you.
Thanks for dropping by. Remember, sometimes the profound is contained in the simple.
